Product Description
The NRA FIRST Steps Rifle Course provides a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and use of a specific rifle action type for a class of four or fewer students.
This course is at least 6 hours long and held over the course of 2 days. It includes classroom and range time learning to properly handle and shoot a rifle.
Students will learn:
- NRA rules for safe gun handling
- rifle model parts and operation
- ammunition
- shooting fundamentals
- cleaning and continued opportunities for skill development.
**Live Fire: Please bring Ear and Eye Protection.
**If you don’t have a rifle, a Ruger 10/22 is available for your use.
Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, FIRST Steps Course completion Certificate. This course will be taught by a NRA Certified Instructor and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.
